The "Villager XP" column shows how much experience each trade gives the villager. Trades at higher levels give more XP, so a few expert or master trades level a villager quickly.

Frequently asked questions

Which villager has the best trades?

Librarians are usually the most valuable, because they sell enchanted books including Mending. Clerics sell ender pearls and Bottles o' Enchanting, and armorers, toolsmiths and weaponsmiths sell enchanted diamond gear. For easy emeralds, fletchers (32 sticks) and farmers (crops) are the best.

What does the chance column mean?

Villagers do not get every trade on this list. When a villager unlocks a level, the game picks a few trades from that level's list. The chance shows how likely each trade is to be offered. 100% means it is always offered.

What does 'Uses' mean?

It is how many times you can use the trade before it locks with a red X. Villagers unlock it again when they restock at their job site block, up to twice a day.

Why are my prices different from this list?

These are the base prices. Curing a zombie villager, Hero of the Village and good reputation lower prices, while buying the same item a lot raises them through demand. In Java Edition, hurting villagers also raises prices.

Are trades the same in Bedrock Edition?

Mostly the same items and prices, but Bedrock often uses different chances for which trades appear, and some levels can offer more trades. This list follows Java Edition 26.3 default trades.

Do master librarians still sell name tags?

No. In Java Edition 26.1 the master librarian's Name Tag trade was replaced by red and yellow candles.
